GUN
The surfboard you want when the waves are huge. Typically ranges in length from 6'6" to 10', which allows the surfer to gain enough speed while paddling to catch the huge and fast moving waves. Designed for big drops and handling very high speeds with good control.
SUP
A large, wide, buoyant board from 10' to 12' in length, designed to allow the surfer to surf while standing up with the aid of a paddle.
LONGBOARD
Longboards typically range from 8 feet to 12 feet long. This extra volume allows them to paddle incredibly well and catch waves with ease. A beginner should start on a longboard shape to learn wave selection, paddling technique, and turning basics.
FUNBOARD
Not as long as longboards, they range from 6 feet to 8 feet long and are perfect for surfers who want to transition to a smaller board while still maintaining paddling power and stability.
HYBRID
This type of board mixes the characteristics and performance of a shortboard with the stability and tail design of a fish. A great board for medium size waves.
SHORTBOARD
Shortboards are highly maneuverable and suitable for fast, steep waves in the 1' to 8' range. Their design reinvented high performance surfing in the 1970s and continues to allow surfers to push the boundaries of the sport. A favorite among professional surfers.
FISH
Shorter and wider than most short boards, fish surfboards are equipped with 2-3 fins and are super agile in small- to medium-sized surf. Experienced surfers love them because they go fast in slower-breaking waves. A fun alternative to a shortboard.
